Atlanta, Georgia-   There is no better place to share the insights to the dating scene and launch a new book than the Atlanta hot spot, Tongue and Groove.  On June 25 with the champagne flowing and a love fashion lingerie show on stage, Lisa Hultin and Claire Hultin came together to share their insight into the virtual world of online dating with their new book,  Chronicles of Online Dating: Love, Sex, and Dating. This mother and daughter duo share collected tales of the good, bad, and the ugly of virtual dating.

According to Lisa Hultin, this book genesis was a result of her experiences on her online journey.  As a recent divorcee seven years ago, Lisa was thrust back into single world.  “The world had change a lot”, emphasized Lisa as described leaving the safety cocoon of marriage.  Her objective in initially joining the online scene was to widen her dating network.  She wanted to meet new people and eventually meet and settle with her true love and soul mate.  

The book is a quick read with quirky and funny chapter headings.  Reading Chronicles of Online Dating can be a voyeur’s dream of a peek into the complex world of rituals in men and women dating.  Along with the stories are insightful lessons highlighted to the reader, for instance be weary of “suitors asking for money or if they seem too good to be true”. 

Not all in the book are horror stories, some of these dating adventures end up in lasting love.

As to the methodology, Lisa explains that with her daughter Claire, they set up a web site soliciting stories.  “Literary hundreds came in” explains Lisa as they edited to condense into an accurate portrayal of real world exploits.

As to Lisa, she has not found her prince charming online but is currently dating someone she met the traditional way, in person at an event.
